FAUDI filter medium dosing units are used in all application areas of bulk material dosing. Precoat filters, for example, require the dosing of filter aids such as cellulose, diatomaceous earth or perlite for the precoat process. Other media suitable for metering are granules and powders, such as corn granules (MK-100) or bleaching earth (Tonsil Standard 312 FF). FAUDI dosing units are used in all FAUDI precoat filter systems. The dosing units are available in four different sizes: FD-125, FD-400, FD-1000 and FD-1500 Big Bag.

How does a
Filter medium
dosing unit work?
FD-400 – FD 1000
The bag with the filter aid is hung in the flap. By closing the flap, the bag is torn open and the filter aid falls down into the tank. An agitator blade loosens the filter aid there before it is then conveyed into the precoat tank of the filter system by means of a plug screw and steep screw. A grid is installed between the tank and the empty bag adapter so that the empty bag cannot fall into the tank. After the bag has been emptied, the flap is opened again to allow the empty bag to be discharged dust-free through the side opening. The suction unit and the bag filter are used to extract the dust formed when emptying the filter aid bags.
FD-1500 Big Bag
The big bag with the filter aid is positioned and lowered over the hopper using a crane beam or forklift so that it sits on the hopper. The connection hose of the big bag is pulled over the nozzle of the hopper and fixed tightly with the bag buckle so that the big bag can be opened. The filter aid falls into the bunker. The agitator blade in the bunker loosens the filter aid. The filter aid is then conveyed into the precoat tank of the filter system via the tamping screw and the steep screw.
