Extensive filter technology
The task was to ensure the supply of over 160 machine tools (application: Turning, drilling, milling of crankcases for diesel and petrol engines) with a continuous and reliable fluid flow and at the same time to efficiently process and return the valuable production residues consisting of metal chips and oil. The total supply capacity is approximately 55,000 litres per minute.
Our solution includes the design, manufacture, delivery and installation of filter systems specially constructed for this application. This extensive filter technology was installed in several central plants and ensures a continuous supply to the machine tools. In addition, two storage facilities were provided to store used oil and refill fresh oil. A crucial aspect was the integration of three briquetting presses to process the metal chips and to return the recovered oil to the filter circuit.

Advantages with the FAUDI solution
Efficient use of resources
Briquetting the metal chips and returning the oil to the filter circuit enabled extremely efficient use of valuable production residues. This resulted in significant cost savings and helped to reduce the payback period to about one year.
Highest production availability
The reliable supply of cooling lubricants to the machine tools ensures virtually uninterrupted production of petrol and diesel engines. This leads to higher productivity and a smooth operating process.
Individual pipeline planning
The more than 160 machine tools are supplied with oil from the FAUDI filter systems by means of the external piping, which was specially designed and installed for this application and has a length of approx. 3,000 metres. Thus, our customer received everything from a single source.
